Sojourn Explorers

Welcome to the Vuollerim area at the Arctic Circle

This package is a brimful program for everyone who would like to know more about genuin lappish everyday life and community based tourism in Vuollerim. We will share knowledge, experience and examples of long-term sustainable local initiatives that have strengthened the local development in this rural area. Knowing that you can do the same in your area. The basic idea is to share how people actively make use of local resources,
skills and knowledge. Here you will not meet a resort, but a welcoming village!

You are invited to join the villagers for a house jumping dinner into their homes. Take part of storytelling from the forest Sami people and genuine villagers and many other local activities. An opportunity to live an Arctic lifestyle one person at a time through local stories, experiences and adventures.

We have put together a custom package showcasing the best activities of the area.  Here at Lapland Vuollerim, we provide an experience you’ll never forget by sharing this unexplored pearls in Swedish Lapland.

Each season holds its special light to make this region breathtakingly  beautiful. The intense Blue Light occurs for 6 to 7 weeks in December and January when the sun doesn’t cross the Arctic Circle’s horizon. In the summer it is the opposite – the midnight sun season, all so colorful!  The snow, the stars, the moon, the northern light, together with the blue light, the midnightsun create an ethereal scenery; like “walking on a theatre scene”. This is the right time to take a break and absorb the magical beauty of nature at its best.

This is an amazing area!
